"The Kaman" combat UAV started service with the Iranian Army

During the combined-arms training "Zulfiqar-99" Of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the "Kaman-12" combat drone started its service and had become the first combat drone developed and produced by specialists of the Iranian air force. It was noted that the drone successfully flew around the training area with a given mission.

Admiral Shahram Irani added: "In the continuation of the exercises, the Ababil-type GPS-controlled UAVs of the army air force managed to destroy the set targets in the area of the exercise with the help of smart bombs and guided point missiles."

The "Zulfiqar-99" exercise was held from September 10 to 12, 2020. There participated four branches of the Army and an air defense base on the Makran coast, East of the Strait of Hormuz to the 10th parallel in the Northern Indian ocean.
