The Orbiter 3 is the largest variant of the Orbiter family of electric-powered UAS. Manufacturer: Aeronautics, Israeli Applications: ISTAR, artillery support, convoy protection and special operations. In the maritime arena, Orbiters serve as an independent ISTAR asset for naval vessels that can be launched and recovered from their decks. Weight: 25kg [55lb] electric-powered UAS can now deliver the same output achieved up to now only by much larger tactical UAS of 100kg and more." Endurance: 7 hours, Range: more than 54nm (100km). So-heres a first. On Tuesday, a wayward unmanned aerial vehicle crashed in a residential area of El Paso, Texas, about a half mile inside the U.S. border. It landed in a backyard apparently, and no one was hurt and no property was damaged.
