Manufacturer: ECA User: French Army Background: The INBOT is the smallest of a series of UGVs being funded by France's Delegation generaIe pour I'armement procurement agency for the French Army's Mini-robots de choc programme. Project definition began in early 2002 with prototypes delivered for evaluation in late 2006. The INBOT can be carried by an infantry soldier and thrown when needed. It is designed to conduct reconnaissance missions within buildings, tunnels, underneath vehicles and other confined areas. The INBOT is controlled by a PDA or tablet PC to which a small joystick can be attached Characteristics: size: (LxWxH) 250x155x110mm, weight: 2.1 kg Performance: speed: up to 0.5m/s, endurance: up to 2hr, obstacles: 45° slope and 60mm gap Payloads: +/-900 rotary head with colour day/night, microphone, visible and IR light
