Precise Auto-Follow Consumer UAV
Chinese manufacturer Skye Intelligence, will soon unveil Orbit – a hands-free, social sharing drone.
Orbit possesses three tracking technologies – Global Navigation Satellite System, Synchronous GPS Image Tracking, and automated optical pixel-tracking, which makes it the world’s most precise auto-follow drone.
‘Follow Me’ mode enables hands-free control via a wearable device. ‘Point Lock’ commands the Orbit to hover above a fixed point, while the lens focuses on a preset target with the Image Tracking System. While ‘Climbing’ follows the user as they climb or descend.
The Orbit is lightweight with a glossy black elliptical shell for optimized aerodynamics. Its contoured fuselage features a vivid blue ring light for enhanced visual ground recognition.
HD images and videos
A 16mp gimbaled lens housed in the nose shoots stunning stills, while a 1080p camera streams high-quality HD images from heights of 200-metres and at speeds of up to 33-mph.
Orbit has 28-minute battery life – one of the longest flight times for a drone in this category.
